My Journey & Engineering Philosophy
How curiosity for Linux fundamentals evolved into building production-grade web systems, machine learning prototypes, and dedicated cloud environments.
Unlocking the Power of POSIX & Operating Systems
My engineering trajectory began by peeling back the abstractions of modern computing. Rather than treating computers as black boxes, I immersed myself in Linux internals: process trees, signals, virtual memory, POSIX permissions, disk partitioning, and bash scripting. This passion led me to write and curate the Ultimate Linux Guide, breaking down systems architecture for developers worldwide.
Intelligent Perception: Robotics & Facial Recognition
Fascinated by real-time computer vision, I bridged software with physical interaction. I architected an Autonomous Shopping Cart Robot powered by OpenPose human tracking and Gated Recurrent Units (GRU) to anticipate customer trajectory and navigate dynamically. Concurrently, I engineered real-time Python & OpenCV facial landmark biometric identification pipelines.
Architecting Fluid Interfaces & Real-Time Media
Translating complex backend capabilities into fluid user experiences required mastering modern web engines. I transitioned into full-stack architecture with Next.js (App Router), React, and Zustand, creating bespoke liquid-glass UI paradigms with Snell optical refraction physics, Web Audio API procedural soundscape synthesizers (generating realistic rain and binaural brainwaves algorithmically), and real-time WebSockets via Pusher.
Operating 24/7 at Scale: The Ritual Platform
Rejecting ephemeral serverless constraints, I built and deployed Ritual (ritual.food) on a dedicated 24/7 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI Always Free) Linux VM (Ubuntu on Ampere A1 ARM64). I engineered persistent Node 22 background processes, automated Let's Encrypt TLS with Caddy 2, Docker Compose microservices, MongoDB Atlas connection pooling, and resilient zero-downtime container swaps.
Building Intelligent Systems of Tomorrow
Today, I focus on integrating generative models (Google Gemini API), autonomous agent tool-calling pipelines, structured document extraction, and local-first data resilience. My goal is to build software that is blazingly fast, private, delightful to use, and architecturally rock-solid.
